WELCOME TO THE GORGE The Columbia River Gorge is a premier destination in Oregon for hiking, biking, sailing, fishing, and other outdoor recreation. At the heart of the gorge is Cascade Locks, a small town located on the Columbia River 45 miles east of Portland. Connecting Cascade Locks to Washington is the Bridge of the Gods, named after a natural feature spanning the gorge centuries ago. |

Hiking trails abound in the gorge, including the famous Pacific Crest Trail that runs from Mexico to Canada -- emerging at the top of Oregon right in Cascade Locks. Local attractions include the Port of Cascade Locks, which offers sternwheeler tours on the Columbia. |

When you're ready for a break from your activities in the gorge, head to the Pacific Crest Pub & Hostel for our fabulous pizza, burgers, and other delicious menu items. Be sure to buy a jar of our extra-hot horseradish, sold at this location since 1965. |

Enjoy views of the Columbia River and mountains from our family-friendly (no smoking) dining room, bar, or outdoor picnic area. Upstairs, we plan to open a traveler's hostel in the spring of 2009. We had hoped to open it earlier, but it has become clear that our downstairs remodel is as much as we can handle for now! |
