eocaching in the Gorge

Geocaching is a fun hobby invented in 2000 by David Ulmer, an Oregonian. A high-tech treasure hunt, geocaching utilizes GPS units to locate hidden caches that contain treasures such as minted geocoins, trinkets, calling cards, or just about anything you can imagine that fits in a small plastic box!

The Pacific Crest Pub sells geocoins and other geocaching supplies. We also have a binder of maps/coordinates of caches in the gorge you're welcome to browse through while dining at the pub.

Benchmarking is a similar hobby that uses GPS to track down geographic markers at various locations.
